About Celia
Celia is a full time artist and tutor. She has a Creative Arts degree from Nottingham University, an Advanced Diploma in Painting from Central School of Art (London), a Masters in Fine Art from Gray’s School of Art, Robert Gordon University (Aberdeen), and a Further Education and Adults Teaching Certificate.
Exhibiting and teaching for many years, Celia’s work ranges from graphic illustration to the highly abstract, capturing the spontaneous and intuitive nature of living in the moment – a type of expressive freedom. Her art is enriched with a deep appreciation for nature and landscapes, saying that “observational drawing and painting is the most effective and powerful way of deeply connecting to nature. It allows a process of slowing down, of appreciation and awe. It is soul nourishment.”
