SUMMARY:Introduction to Linocut Weekend Course
DESCRIPTION:In this two-day course\, we will immerse ourselves in the world
  of Lino Printing and unleash your creativity during this hands-on worksho
 p.\nIdeal for beginners\, this workshop will teach you how to create your 
 own hand-carved and printed pieces using a combination of single-block\, j
 igsaw technique\, and multi-block technique\, as well as how these methods
  can work together to produce beautiful\, colourful works. Don't worry if 
 you're not a skilled artist\; all you need is the desire to create.\nWe wi
 ll be printing without a press\, providing you with foundational knowledge
  that you can apply to your art practice at home. This hands-on\, practica
 l session will equip you with a broad technical overview to kick-start you
 r printmaking journey.\nThroughout the workshop\, we will cover design tra
 nsfer\, cutting techniques\, ink preparation and mixing\, and print regist
 ration. You will receive guidance and support as you explore these process
 es and develop your artistic skills. This is an opportunity to not only le
 arn the basics but also to experiment with new techniques and create your 
 own artwork.\nOur small class size of 10 provides a focused learning envir
 onment. All tools and materials will be provided\; just bring yourself and
  some design ideas. Let your imagination run wild and discover the magic o
 f Lino Prints!\n\nABOUT YOUR TUTOR\n\n\n\n\n\nHayley Anderson is a visual 
 artist who mainly works with printmaking. Her latest works combine lino pr
 inting and paper cut techniques to produce three-dimensional wall-mounted 
 paper installations influenced by place and nature. Additionally\, Hayley 
 often incorporates elements of Scottish folklore and mythology into her wo
 rks\, reflecting her interest in history and tradition. This thematic choi
 ce pays homage to her heritage and allows her to connect contemporary audi
 ences with timeless tales and cultural narratives.\n\n\n\nHayley runs her 
 business\, Buff and Blue Prints\, from her home in Lossiemouth and conduct
 s printmaking workshops throughout Scotland. Most recently\, her work has 
 been exhibited at the Kilo Gallery in Rovaniemi\, Finland\, and the Americ
