DESCRIPTION:Moray Art Centre is thrilled to announce our collaboration with
  Dance North as part of their RISE Festival '2024. Join us as we welcome t
 he extraordinary Laura Fisher and FORGED (in the tender heat of your embra
 ce) to our venue. Get ready for an unforgettable fusion of artistry and ex
 pression right here at Moray Art Centre.\n\nFORGED (in the tender heat of 
 your embrace) is a durational performance installation for galleries and n
 on-traditional performance spaces. In an intimate\, choreographic collabor
 ation between the artist’s body and sheets of copper metal\, FORGED (in 
 the tender heat of your embrace) explores processes of body heat generatio
 n and exchange during movement and rest.\nThrough cycles of moving and res
 ting together\, a physical collaboration develops in which a disabled body
  and metal support enable each other’s movement\; bending\, heating\, co
 oling\, resting\, and imprinting on one another over time. Through this pr
 ocess\, sculptural forms gradually emerge\, holding on their surface marks
  of the physical exchange which has occurred.\nThis captivating show will 
 feature a day of mesmerising performances by Laura on Saturday\, May 25th\
 , along with an installation that will be showcased throughout the entire
