SUMMARY:The Figure In Space: Mixed Media Drawing & Painting
DESCRIPTION:This workshop will look at placing the figure in an invented sp
 ace to examine and deconstruct the basic elements of figurative painting
 .\n\nStarting with the fundamental practice of drawing and painting a fi
 gure\, students will move on to deconstruct their observational work and f
 ind their own way of abstracting what they see.\n\nThe course will cover
  how to create an illusionistic space and integrate the figure into it.\n\
 nThere will be a focus on each student finding a visual language that conn
 ects the figure and surrounding space and exploring how the artist can re
 veal elements of an image’s construction.\n\nClear instruction\, demo
 nstrations where necessary\, and slides will be shown by the tutor.\n\nAll
  materials and refreshments will be provided. However\, please being along
