SUMMARY:Watercolour: Lossiemouth’s East Beach
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nwith Rob Wigham\n\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll be painting a watercol
our view of the old sea breaks against the surf on this beautiful Moray be
 ach.\n10:30 - 4:30\nAll materials included\nThe one-day course will provid
e personalised instruction\, mentorship and support for new or intermediat
e-grade watercolour painters\, using a daytime view of the beach with some
white clouds in the sky. This will allow us not only to produce a nice pa
inting but will cover as many of the general aspects of watercolour as pos
sible to make it a really useful day! No previous watercolour experience i
s necessary but Rob will try to work with you to make the most of whatever
experience in the medium you might have already. We will work using a ser
ies of demonstrations of each stage\, followed by your own painting of tha
t stage. Rob will be on hand throughout with friendly advice and help so t
hat hopefully everyone will produce an accomplished painting by the end of
the day! No previous knowledge of watercolour is needed or assumed. Stret
ched watercolour paper of around A3 size or slightly larger on a suitable
board will be required. If you have your own art materials\, please bring
them along as it will help you to work with your own things. However\, the
Moray Art Centre will supply a range of pigments and brushes as required
if you don’t already have them.\n\nAbout Rob: Rob is a self-taught water
colour artist who\, after many years of learning the medium as a hobby dur
ing his career as an RAF pilot\, turned professional 11 years ago after le
aving the Service. Since then he has produced hundreds of paintings of the
Moray area and coastline\, mostly landscapes and seascapes which have als
o been added to Rob’s extensive range of fine art giclee prints. He also
paints military aircraft and sometimes\, when his arm is twisted\, pet po
rtraits! His work is known for its detail as well as for its bright colour
s and impactful contrast of tones. Rob is also an experienced teacher Rob
’s work is in private collections around the world and he and his wife\,
Sharon\, supply their range of high-quality prints from their home worksh
 op in Mosstodloch\, near Fochabers.\n
