 na\n\n\n\n\n\n\n"Welcome to our exhibition „WHOLE“!\n\n \nWhat does
„WHOLE“ mean to you?\n\n \nWhat factors contribute to experiencing WH
 OLEness in pregnancy\, birth &amp\; motherhood?\n\n \nHow could you use p
regnancy\, birth and motherhood for getting in touch with your WHOLEness\n
\n \nWhat are the challenges and questions on the way?\n\n \nWhat could
be changed to make your experiences more „WHOLEsome“?\n\n\nHere we are
 \, mamas &amp\; artists with our babies &amp\; toddlers\, co-creating this
exhibition as a creative exploration into pregnancy\, birth and motherhoo
d.\n\n \nOur way\n\n\nWe are not trying to define but rather explore the
meaning of „WHOLE“ or „WHOLEsome“\, while experiencing the daily c
hallenges and blessings of sharing our lives with our little ones. Once we
got started with this project\, we realised how many more topics there ar
e to dive deeper into. We can’t possibly cover them all\, but what we ca
n do\, is to share what we’ve got right here right now and get the conve
rsation started through the power of art.\nWe are grateful to have more be
autiful artists\, doulas and mamas on board. Giving us the courage to do w
hat we couldn’t do on our own: to share our stories and create a safe an
d inspiring space\, that hopefully invites you to share your stories too.
In our hearts we know that\, no matter what\, all of us are „WHOLE“ wi
thin. This „inner knowing“ can be shaken or deepened greatly while exp
eriencing pregnancy\, birth and motherhood.\nHow do we approach this indiv
idually and collectively?\n\n \nOur invitation\n\n\nMaybe you feel invite
d to start a conversation within or with someone else while taking in the
art pieces. You are invited to add your own „Affirmation card“\, paint
on our interactive canvas\, share your stories in our guest book and „H
ypnobirthing“ - circle or join a „Singing Mamas“ session. In what ev
er way\, every story and perspective is important and valuable. Let us fos
ter our „inner knowing“ of WHOLEness through connections\, loving supp
ort and sharing our collective knowledge.\nThank you for your presence and
we look forward to exploring with you\,\nLove Melanie &amp\; Sabrina"\n\n
\n\n\nAbout Sabrina Meckel\n\nThe photo above reminds me of a sacred and h
appy moment of my life\, being about 5 month pregnant and feeling the full
ness of life\, under my feet\, in my belly and blowing through my hair (ph
oto by Mark Richards).\nI always followed my natural urge to create and ex
plore the world through the eyes of art\, dance\, song\, nature and travel
 ling:\n\n \nCreating portrait drawings and exhibitions with so-called „
disabled“ people in Spain\n\n \nDoing teacher studies with focus on art

Denmark\, including travels\, internships and work in different countries
in Europe and Asia\, Mozambique and Brazil\n\n \nWorking as a teacher in
Denmark with focus on inclusive learning through art\, drama\, dance\, la
nguages\, travelling and social science\n\n \nExpanding my skills with ex
tra educations as a yoga\, dance and circus teacher and gaining work exper
ience in schools\, creative and inclusive projects in Berlin\, Germany\n\n
\nWorking as an artist &amp\; teacher for yoga\, art\, circus and langua
ge in Scotland.\n\n\nEmbarking on my challenging journey to conceive made
me discover an even deeper layer of art and the power it can have to manif
est and transform our lives.\nRight now\, living with my family in the nor
th of Scotland\, I am exploring life through the eyes of motherhood and my
2 1/2 year old boy\, while discovering new ways to express and work as an
artist &amp\; teacher for yoga\, art and creativity.\nIn this exhibition

ncy\, birth and motherhood through the following pieces and their stories:

\nAbout Melanie Göhlert\n&nbsp\;\n\n\nTrained as an occupational therapis
t\, I worked for several years primarily with people with psychological sy
mptoms/diagnoses\, trauma and migraine therapy clients\, and children with
behavioral problems. In recent years\, I have increasingly dedicated myse
lf to my own personal development through training in "Arbeit mit dem Wese
nskern Therapie" ("Working with the Pure Essence Therapy") in Dresden\, Ge
rmany. This work has laid important foundations for me to recognise my own
value\, to gain deeper access to myself\, my body and my feelings\, and t
o set myself on the path to self-empowerment and a self-determined life -
in connection with my body and true self. This is the path I still continu
e to take\, deeper and deeper to my pure essence.\nMy impulse to create th
is exhibition was the transformative journey of my own pregnancy.\nI had j
ust quit my job as an occupational therapist\, sold many of my belongings
and given up my apartment to travel from Germany to Scotland to see where
and how I could work and live there. I had already arrived in Scotland whe
n I realised I was pregnant. I felt very close to myself\, noticed that I
was receiving a ton of energy\, was more aware and felt free. A feeling of
sacredness filled me and I had clear impulses: living alone\, close to na
ture\, giving birth in a circle of women and definitely in Scotland. Unfor
tunately\, I didn't completely listen to my inner voice and decided to mov
e into an apartment with the father of my daughter in Germany. I began to
feel more and more physically and mentally unwell\, numb and began to trud
ge up the mountains I usually climbed lightly and with little energy. I fe
lt incredibly distant from myself. The feeling of holiness was gone.\nMy f
riends supported me a lot in finding the answers and my truth within mysel
f.\nI remembered how I felt in Scotland and realised: I didn't want the ch
ild like THAT. I decided to go back to Scotland\, and from then on\, thing
 s changed. Suddenly\, I received so much support\, felt closer to myself\,
and was able to run up the mountains with energy again! I had many touchi
ng experiences\, met people who were happy to support me from the bottom o
f their hearts\; everything flowed smoothly. I am so grateful for this exp
erience and my wish with all my heart is\, that women recognise the transf
ormative potential of this sensitive time and use it for themselves. Enjoy
the exhibition and your own journey\, however it might look like!\nFor fu
