CATHERINE WHITEMAN

Catherine studied painting and conservation of works of art on paper in New York and London and has taught workshops in Scotland and the UK. Her specialism is working with words and paper: calligraphic, letterpress and book arts.

She is passionate about the benefits of the creative process itself and not merely the outcome.

Her work, including Suminagashi, is held in private and public collections including the Scottish Parliament and Scottish National Archives and the UK House of Lords.
