Event Type

Discover how drawing can become a way of experiencing and connecting with the natural world around you. This workshop invites you to explore drawing as both trace and memory of your encounter with nature, a living mark that not only records experience but also explains and communicates it.

We will look beyond the hand that draws, considering the whole body and its relationship with the environment it inhabits and explores.
During the first two blocks, you will develop your own personal style while experimenting with different ways of linking drawing and nature. Through techniques such as frottage and mark-making, you will create unique visual impressions in dialogue with the landscape.
In the final block, we will move into the realm of motion, exploring how movement and rhythm connect nature and the human experience, even the unseen. You will experiment with sequence and transformation using techniques like experimental stop-motion animation, flip-books, and serial or polyptych compositions.
Join us to draw, move, and animate your way through the living rhythms of the natural world.
