A fascinating experiential workshop with Bruce and Terry about relationships and how we perceive things and about noticing. It’s about our hybrid world: different layers of experience and sensations working together where boundaries are blurred. You will come away with an integrated comprehensive experience of the world we live in.
What if you could experience the world more fully?
In our daily lives, we move through layers of experience—digital and physical, internal and external, remembered and immediate. Yet how often do we truly notice the richness of our perception as it unfolds?
“Being Human in a Hybrid World” is an inquiry-based workshop that invites you to slow down, pay attention, and discover how you construct your experience of reality.
Looking
Discover what happens when you truly attend to visual experience—how the eye moves, how attention shapes what appears, how looking itself becomes an active creative practice.
Mark Making
Trace the movement of your attention on paper. Mark making becomes a way of thinking, a physical record of perception in action.
Colour
Investigate colour as sensation, emotion, and information. How does it affect your nervous system? How do colours interact in your field of awareness?
Sound
Listen to the acoustic environment as a constantly shifting landscape. Explore the space between hearing and listening, background and foreground, sound and silence.
Mapping
Create maps of attention, sensation, memory, and connection—charting the invisible territories of consciousness through visual and spatial representation.
No previous experience is required. Bring your curiosity and willingness to explore.Bruce and Terry bring decades of experience working at the intersection of art, perception, and consciousness. Their approach is grounded in direct investigation rather than theory, creating a space where participants can discover insights through their own inquiry.

ABOUT YOUR TUTORS
Bruce Torquil Campbell, born April 23, 1951, in Bedford, England, is a multidisciplinary artist residing in the Findhorn Ecovillage near Forres, Scotland.
He studied at the Byam Shaw School of Drawing and Painting in London under notable artists including Graham Nickson, Euan Uglow, and Frank Bowling.
His practice encompasses painting, pottery, woodworking, and piano playing, with paintings that explore layers of space and colour across representational and abstract works.
Alongside his art, Campbell has long been engaged with Landmark Worldwide, exploring personal growth and development. He has also written on the creative process, including the essay “The Joy of Creativity: Emergence.”
He is currently a Trustee Director of the Moray Art Centre in Scotland, and showcases his work at brucetorquilcampbell.com and on Instagram
Terry Vergos is a polymath artist working with sound, visual media, code, and custom-built digital systems. He studied economics, sound, technology, and systems thinking in Athens and Ghent, a path that shapes his curiosity about the ways perception unfolds in the world. As a certified qigong instructor, he brings an embodied attentiveness to listening and seeing.
His work sets conditions where sound and image continuously shift and return, guided by software and responsive devices. Rather than seeking final forms, it opens a space to witness the subtle, beautiful patterns the world composes of itself—revealed through ambiguity, uncertainty, and the desire to be intimate with the unknown.
