As part of the Findhorn Bay Festival, we will be hosting Source To Sea, an exhibition by Lisa Shaw.
A curated selection of large paintings that draw from the artists intimate connection with both the Moray Firth and the Findhorn River that converges with it. The paintings reflect a deep reverence for the natural world, and contemplation of the delicate balance of our ecosystems. By working with poured paint for the sections of river and sea, Shaw channels the untamed qualities of flowing water, resulting in dynamic compositions that encapsulate the essence of flow, and allow the natural swirls and eddies to emerge. Through both abstraction and representation, she evokes a sense of wonder and introspection, a space to reconnect with the power of nature.
