A week for deepening and reinvigorating essential painting skills through transformative still life study.
This week is designed to help students build and develop fundamental, observational drawing and painting skills. Using a range of different studio set ups, the week will focus on developing student’s colour sensibilities through careful observation and experimentation to produce a series of small, timeless and glowing oil paintings.
The first few days will focus on finding, composing, and mapping our compositions, and getting to know our subject matter well. The latter days in the week will focus on developing several small-scale paintings in oil.
