YOUNG ARTISTS COMPETITION
Moray Art Centre and Baxters have come together to offer an exciting prize for a budding young local artist!
The prizes:
Winner: £200 Runner-up: £50
The brief:
– To create an image representing the stag at Baxters, Fochabers
– The image should be your artistic (or photographic) interpretation
– You may choose any medium and any style
– The image will feature on a gift card included with Baxters hampers
The rules:
1. This competition is open to all UK residents aged under 18, except any employee of or person directly connected with Baxters or Moray Art Centre and their immediate family members. Proof of age may be required.
2. The competition is free to enter.
3. Entries must be submitted by email with ART COMPETITION in the subject line (photography only) to [email protected], by post or in person to Moray Art Centre, Field of Dreams, Findhorn IV36 3TA and must be accompanied by the entrant’s full name, date of birth and email address.
Entries must also include a signed note from a parent or guardian stating ‘I hereby give permission for my son/daughter _______ to enter the Moray Art Centre Baxter’s Young Artist Competition 2025. I agree to the rules, terms and conditions of the competition and can guarantee that they are under the age of 18 and that the entry is entirely their own original work’
4. Moray Art Centre must receive entries by 11:59pm on July 31st, 2025. Any entry which is late, incomplete or inappropriate will be deemed invalid.
5. Moray Art Centre accepts no responsibility for damaged or lost entries.
6. The judges shall assess the entries. One winner and one runner-up will be selected. The judges’ decisions shall be final.
7. Winners will be notified by email within 14 days of a decision being made. If a winner does not respond within 14 days of being notified, then they will forfeit their prize, and a replacement winner will be selected. The prizes will be sent to the winners within 28 days of the winner responding to notification that they have won. Artworks may be published on Moray Art Centre’s and Baxters websites and on related online platforms.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. By submitting an entry, you agree to be legally bound by the Rules and these Terms and Conditions.
2. Any entry must be your original work, and it must not infringe the rights of third parties including copyright, privacy, publicity, personal or proprietary rights.
3. Entrants retain full ownership of their artwork however, by submitting an entry, grant Baxters a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to:
* feature the artwork on a gift card included with Baxters hampers;
* reproduce, distribute, and publicly display the artwork in any media (including digital, print, and social media); and
* use the artwork for promotional, marketing, and educational purposes related to the competition and its business.
Baxters agrees to credit the artist wherever the artwork is used, where reasonably possible.
4. Moray Art Centre takes your privacy very seriously; we will only use your personal information for the administration of the competition and in accordance with the terms of these Terms and Conditions.
Any personal data submitted will be held securely and in accordance with the Data Protection legislation. Personal data supplied may be passed on to third parties only insofar as required for fulfilment/delivery/arrangement of the prize.
The winner may be required to participate in publicity related to the competition which may include the publication of their name and photograph in any media. You agree that your personal data may be used for this purpose.
5. As entrants are under 18 years of age, express consent from their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must be obtained.
