This unique, six-week course will begin on Monday the 3rd of November and will run each Monday, up until and including the 8th of December 2025.
Georgia has organised for three generations of models to create an exciting, dynamic and poignant situation in the studio. Each week will begin with some expressive loose painting and some longer reflective poses. During weeks 1, 3 and 5 of the course, a young mother and her baby will model. During weeks 2, 4 and 6 of the course, the baby’s paternal grandmother will model. In addition, you will be invited to paint the presence of the babies maternal grandmother, who is no longer with the family on earth.
On November 3rd the course will begin with a presentation about model painting and will include examples of paintings by both historical and contemporary masters. The presentation will focus on showing paintings which highlight the significant relationships formed between grandparents, mothers, fathers and their children.
Participants will be encouraged to bring a folder, so as to carry paintings back and forth to MAC, week by week. Part of the course will involve participants creating paintings over two weeks, which feature all three generations of models on the same surface.

ABOUT YOUR TUTOR
Georgia has exhibited in the UK since 2009 and internationally since 2017. She graduated with a 1st Class BA Honours degree in Fine Art from DJCAD in 2009 and an MFA in Contemporary Art Practice from ECA, in 2013.
As well as being an Artist, she has been a lecturer and tutor in various Scottish institutions (DJCAD, ECA, LSA, RGU, MAC) since 2014, and in 2018/2019 she ran an international Post Graduate course in Art & Design, at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, in China.
In support of her research Georgia has received grants and support from The Scottish International Education Trust, The British Council, The British Embassy in Iceland, The Norwegian Artists Association and Edinburgh University, among others. She has also received several painting awards from The Royal Scottish Academy and Dundee University.
