In this unique workshop, artist Catherine Whiteman will teach the ancient art of Japanese Suminagashi marbling.
All materials included, however, please bring along some lunch, some kitchen roll, and wear old clothing.
Using traditional methods and materials you will learn this beautiful, meditative technique in a quiet & relaxing atmosphere.
Catherine will showcase traditional tools for participants to see, as well as guide you through its history. She will then show you how to create your own beautiful Suminagashi work using various interesting papers.
This is a quiet and restorative process but exciting when you see your prints emerging!
